You can be a scratch golfer or close to it! - or at the very least much improved from where you are. You may learn something from watching someone else demonstrate their swing or reading magazines, but I think you’ll learn a lot more, much faster from your own swing using a teacher that understands that you are a unique person with unique build, personality, temperament, athletic ability, fitness, age, available time and goals. Why not progress toward scratch golf, your way with coaching from a top teacher? If you're not able to schedule a private lesson, why not make a video, have it analyzed and get a lesson plan that fits you uniquely? – a written personalized plan that you can refer to every time you set out to practice or play – lessons that will be available to you long after a traditional lesson at the range is mostly forgotten.
The procedure to do this is simple; you make a few takes with your home video camera and upload or mail your media to me. I'll also ask you for information about you, your golf and your goals. I'll carefully analyse what you're doing - good and not so good and email a written analysis back to you along with a specific personalized plan to put you on the path to being a scratch golfer. Having ordered my service, you may then download your copy of SCRATCH GOLF, YOUR WAY, a total game instruction book, which will help any golfer at any level improve their fundamentals, ball striking, short game and overall play. I'm honored to have received endorsement of the instruction in my book by John Andrisani , Instruction Editor of GOLF MAGAZINE for 16 years and author/co-author of over 30 golf instruction books. You might want to check out some of his titles. You may read his Forward to my book but here is some of what he has to say about my instruction: | |
| "I'm wild about Wilde's book because it cuts through all the fat and gives you clear cut meat and potatoes total-game instruction -- in a world that continues to make golf complicated, Wilde separates fact from fiction, presenting only simple instruction that he knows works based on his experience on the lesson tee and on the golf course -- a golfer who reads this book and follows Wilde's advice is sure to hit an increasing number of solid shots, keep the ball in play and also think their way to lower scores"- John Andrisani Making and sending a video is a painless way to get started on your golf game improvement and your journey toward scratch golf. Going to the range to make your video is a good idea but if this is too much trouble you can use plastic balls at home - or go to the park during slow hours. For example, to save time I sometimes hit wiffle balls into my garage as a warmup before playing. If you already have a video, we can probably use that. I hope you give me a chance to help you! There's one requirement; you must want to improve or develop a classic golf swing and progress toward being a scratch golfer. | |
